The Best-Selling Game Of 2025 Storms Onto Game Pass One Year Later

The first wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for October 2026 has been revealed, and Battlefield 6 is joining the subscription service for the first time following its launch exactly a year ago. The hit shooter, last year’s best-selling game, will arrive just in time for the start of its Las Vegas–themed season 5.

Battlefield 6‘s campaign was enjoyable but rough around the edges, but its core multiplayer modes, especially on the bigger maps, remains stellar. It’s also interesting to see the longtime rival of Call of Duty joining it on the latter’s home turf. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is also out this month, with Infinity Ward promising a return to the franchise’s roots, though because of Xbox’s ongoing reset, the latest sequel won’t be coming to Game Pass at launch.

Here’s everything joining Xbox Game Pass in wave 1 for October 2026:

While Battlefield 6 is the headliner, there are a ton of interesting indies to keep an eye on this month. Echo Weaver is a time-loop-based metroidvania in which you have to use your knowledge from each run to progress further on the next one. Neon Abyss 2 is a cyberpunk action roguelike that has online co-op for up to four players. And Chained Beasts is a co-op gladiator roguelike where players have to fight through arenas of enemies while being attached together. Personally, I’m most excited for Forever Ago , a narrative adventure about how life doesn’t always end up the way you hoped.
