Steve Rogers Wields Mjolnir in the Latest Avengers: Doomsday Trailer

A new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday dropped on Oct. 24. While it's not very long, it shows a surprising amount of new footage rather than rehashing clips we've already seen. In particular, it has some great moments featuring Captain America (all three of them).

Avengers: Doomsday's latest trailer starts with a pretty cool moment, as we see Steve Rogers wielding Mjölnir again. He's not doing so in battle; he simply summons it from Thor's hand, likely to prove he's the real Steve Rogers. Later on the trailer, we also see Steve Rogers holding Thor's hammer as he asks Thor if it bothers him before they travel somewhere via the Bifrost. Captain America wielding Mjölnir was one of the best parts of Avengers: Endgame, so hopefully we also see him fight with it again in Doomsday.

Between those bookending scenes with Steve Rogers and Mjolnir, we see new shots of Doctor Doom fighting, Professor X seemingly observing another world's destruction, and Invisible Woman and The Thing meeting with M'Baku and Black Panther. Then we get the trailer's funniest scene, as Ant-Man calls Steve Rogers Captain America and then stumbles through the fact that three people who have technically taken up the mantle are in the room, as Sam Wilson and John Walker are also there.

Although the 30-second teaser doesn't feature any revelatory plot details for Avengers: Doomsday , it might actually be my favorite teaser for the movie yet. While the movie's other trailers have been pretty serious, this one felt more similar in tone to previous Avengers flicks and likely closer to the vibe Doomsday will actually have when it finally arrives.
