Solo Leveling Officially Gives 8 New God Powers To Sung Jinwoo

By the end of Solo Leveling Season 2, Jinwoo has already grown to be a force to be reckoned with, strong enough to easily overwhelm and take down the likes of the Ant King. Despite that, the beloved protagonist is still far from his peak. At the end of the original Solo Leveling timeline, Jinwoo manages to take down Antares, but even then, he is far from the end of his progress. After rewinding time and starting from the beginning, Jinwoo sets out to face many challenges that push him to become the strongest version of himself.

The latest 2026 franchise release, Solo Leveling: Karma, is set to cover this arc in great detail under the guidance of the original author, Chugong. In the most recent update for Karma pertaining ot the 27-Year Monarch War, it's revealed that Sung Jinwoo will tap into new powers, and they're the powers of the Monarchs. Given that there are 8 Monarchs to defeat and overcome, Jinwoo will acquire 8 new abilities, each based on one of the innate abilities of these foes.

Sung Jinwoo's return in the anime is not to be expected this year, despite the successful end of the second season of the series last year. That is because Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, the next big project planned for the franchise, has a set release date for 2027. For the time being, Chugong has seen to it that we get to explore the 27-year Monarch War, brought forward to us through Netmarble Studio with the creation of a new Solo Leveling video game, known as Solo Leveling: Karma .
