When speaking of South Korean stories, no IP has been on the same scale of popularity and recognition as Solo Leveling. Originally created by Chugong as a web novel, Solo Leveling's success as a novel and then Manhwa has led to the birth of its sequel series, known as Solo Leveling: Ragnarok.
With Solo Leveling's general rise to popularity, the demand for Solo Leveling: Ragnarok has also skyrocketed. Because of that, finally in 2026, we are getting the full English release of its main novel. Previously, the Solo Leveling: Ragnarok novel was hard to access online, as platforms like Tapas had yet to fully release its story. Now, Ize Press has revealed its plans to bring forward physical copies of this hit novel ahead of the IP's big return with Solo Leveling: Beyond System movie in 2027.
Solo Leveling enjoyed a humble debut as a web novel in South Korea 10 years ago, in 2016, when the series was launched by Chugong. Later on, it was adapted into a manhwa by Redice Studio in 2018 and into an anime by Aniplex and A-1 Pictures in 2024. Solo Leveling's focus has always been on its protagonist, Sung Jinwoo. However, the sequel to the series by a different creator, Daul, instead gives the spotlight to Jinwoo's son, Sung Suho, as he takes on his own journey and tackles new, unique challenges.
In a world overrun by gates, monsters, and powerful hunters, Sooho Sung is nothing more than an ordinary college student.
