While there is no way to activate the developer in STALKER 2 by default, you can skirt around this restriction by downloading user-made mods. After installing such content, players will be able to toggle the dev console in-game at will. This is useful if you want to use cheats or experiment with certain settings, though access to the developer console will also give you the opportunity to trigger certain quest conditions that might have bugged out in your STALKER 2 playthrough.

To get the in-game console to work, you'll need to download one of these mods:

Kyne's mod is simpler to use and install, but if that doesn't work for you, try getting UE4SS from GitHub and patching it with RE-UE4SS files from NexusMods. There are instructions in the latter's mod page and archive. Follow those carefully to get the mod to work. I recommend using Kyne's Commands Console since it's much more convenient to install, and in case it breaks your game, you can easily delete it as well.

Each of these mods have their own installation instructions, and while they're slightly different, all you have to do is unpack mod contents into your STALKER 2 directory, which you can find by checking the game's properties from your Steam or Xbox Game Pass library.

IMPORTANT: Mods have a tendency to break after every STALKER 2 patch.
