Konami Partners With Celebrity Kitty to Release Metal Gear Cat Toys at CatCon 2026

Konami is partnering up with a celebrity kitty named ‘one-eared Uno’ to debut a special Metal Gear cat toy collection available at CatCon 2026.

If you didn’t know there was a cat convention, now you do. CatCon is a yearly event that brings together cat lovers from all over the globe to Pasadena, California, featuring special exhibits, workshops, adoption drives, and meet-and-greets with celebrity cats.

One of those cats, affectionately named ‘one-eared Uno,’ and her owner, Kat Curtis, will host a special meet-and-greet event at the Konami booth at CatCon this year to celebrate the release of some special Metal Gear-themed cat toys.

These offerings include cat scratch boxes modeled after the iconic cardboard boxes that Big Boss and Old Snake use to sneak around without being detected by enemies, plush pet toys, and even cat collars inspired by Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

The lovable one-eared Uno with her adorable underbite was rescued by Kat as a stray, who found the kitty abandoned near a dumpster. The two now boast over five million followers on social media and are meeting fans at Catcon on October 12 at 2 PM PST.

CatCon takes place at the Pasadena Convention Center from October 10 - 11. Cat lovers will be able to score the Snake-approved merch for their kitties on those days only, both at the convention and online via the OKS Gear Shop.

What’s more, fans can win a chance to meet Uno at CatCon and get the exclusive Metal Gear merch if they visit the Konami booth at the convention and either: show they own the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.
