Sidebets, Explained - Star Wars: Galactic Racer

Sidebets are the fastest way to get easy Credits during the Campaign, but they don't work the way you'd think. You're not placing a bet on someone to win; you're placing a bet on where you'll end up in your placement! Below, we'll share full details on how Sidebets work in Star Wars: Galactic Racer so you can spend some Credits to make even more with every Race and Eliminator!

There are 11 Head-to-Head Rivalries to take on in the Star Wars Galactic Racer Campaign. Here's how to trigger them all.

In Act 2 and Act 3 of the Campaign, each Race and Eliminator event will start with a Sidebet Challenge. You can place a bet against one of three racers, and if you win, you will double the Credits you bet. For instance, the image above shows a bet versus Lyren Shock, where he's predicted to finish 1st. If you place the 1,000 Credits bet, then you need to place 1st in order to win the side bet.

Essentially, each side bet is asking, "Can you beat this opponent?" It's not asking, "Will Soren Zaks come in 5th place?" For example, if you were to place a bet on Soren Zaks, and he wins the race, then you'd lose the bet, but if you manage to beat him, then you win the bet! Essentially, place a bet and try to win, as normal.

It's also worth noting that placing Sidebets on the same racer multiple times will start a Rivalry, and you can click the guide above to find out more information, but for a quick read: Rivalries can be used to gain Galactic League Tokens (extra lives) and Favors (perks).
