Should You Kill Morkvarg (In Wolf's Clothing) in The Witcher 3

In Wolf's Clothing is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3 that can begin in different ways depending on your progress through the main story. If you are following the main questline in Skellige, you can speak with Josta in Hindarsfjall during Missing Persons quest to learn about Morkvarg and his curse.

Alternatively, you can start the quest before reaching that point in the story by traveling east of Freya's Garden and speaking with Josta there. Here is how to complete the quest and decide Morkvarg's fate.

The Isle of Mists is a major cutoff point in The Witcher 3, so make sure you complete these side quests or else they will fail!

After speaking with Josta and learning about Morkvarg, you will receive an objective to find Einar, son of Toradar, who survived the attack on Freya's Garden. Travel to Larvik and speak with him to learn more about what happened.

Einar will explain that the Archpriestess Ulve cursed Morkvarg as she was dying. Exhaust the available dialogue options to learn what you can, then make your way to Freya's Garden.

As you approach the locked gate to Freya's Garden, a cutscene will play showing a Werewolf on the other side. Take either available path to enter the Garden and head toward the large tree in the middle.

Activate your Witcher Senses to investigate the tracks around the tree. These will lead you toward bodies and various claw marks, although you do not need to follow every clue to progress.
