Sony's WH-1000 lineup is well-regarded as one of the best wireless noise canceling headphones you can get, with the current generation model being the WH-1000XM6. Perhaps lesser known is that Sony released an even higher end headphone in the lineup earlier this year dubbed the WH-1000XX "The Collexion". It normally retails for a lofty price of $649, but Secondipity (via eBay) is offering a certified refurbished pair with 2 year Allstate warranty for just $389 with free shipping, or nearly 40% off. According to the reviews from people who have ordered from Secondipity, which is a huge Sony liquidator, the certified refurb headphones are pretty much indistinguishable from brand new.

The Sony WH-1000XX improves upon the WH-1000XM6 in several ways. The most obvious upgrade is the design and build quality. The 1000XX features a sturdy metal frame that's almost entirely wrapped in hand-brushed stainless steel and vegan leather. Even the buttons are made out of metal. There's very little plastic, especially compared to the 1000XM6. Comfort has been improved here too, with a wider padded headband for more even weight distribution on the head and oversized earcups that are designed to sit around your ears rather than on them.

The 1000XX features custom designed and tuned 30mm carbon composite dynamic drivers paired with Sony's latest Integrated Processor V3. The WH-1000XM6, by the way, is still on the previous generation V2 processor. 0 with Multipoint. The 1000XX also features the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 which manages the twelve-microphone array for voice clarity.
