I'm sure many of us older PC gamers are familiar with the venerable Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 computer speakers. They were, frankly, without equal for a better part of two decades. I owned them during the majority of my college life and used them up until I had kids. Although there were incremental updates throughout the years, a complete redesign didn't happen until late 2025 in the guise of the Klipsch ProMedia Lumina 2.1. It launched at a steep price tag of $379.99, but today you can get it on Amazon for just $249.99 with free shipping after a hefty 34% off instant discount.
The new Klipsch Promedia Lumina looks very different from its predecessor. Design-wise, the Luminas feature a two-tone black and silver facade with wood-grain wrap throughout. It looks sophisticated and would fit well even in a non-gaming setup. The Lumina features RGB lighting, but it's subtle and projects toward the wall behind of your desk.
The 2.1 channel form factor remains unchanged. The satellite speaker is a touch bigger than before and features a 3" mid-range driver and a 1” mylar tweeter mated to a Microtractrix horn. The subwoofer is much slimmer and features a ported design with a 6.5" side-firing woofer.
Plenty of quality-of-life upgrades have been made to the Lumina, including a USB Type-C connection to your PC, wireless Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and a Klipsch Control desktop app that allows you to tweak EQ and lighting from your PC.
I haven't actually tried these speakers out myself, but at this price I'm tempted.
