Samsung’s Android 17-based One UI 9 rollout just got much bigger in the US

TL;DR Samsung’s stable One UI 9 update is rolling out to Galaxy S24-series users in the US.

The rollout is also reaching Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 users, including factory-unlocked US models.

The update weighs about 4GB, includes the September 2026 security patch, and is also expanding to other markets.

Samsung’s One UI 9 rollout has been steadily working its way backward through the company’s flagship lineup. After reaching the Galaxy S26 and S25 families, Samsung turned its attention to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in South Korea last week. We expected other markets to follow soon, and that expansion is now underway.

Stable One UI 9, based on Android 17, has begun rolling out to Galaxy S24-series owners in the US, with users reporting the update on both T-Mobile and AT&T devices. The rollout is also spreading beyond the US, with reports that the update has arrived in India and other markets.
