As Xreal Aura goes on sale, Resolution Games has launched Holochess on the Google Play Store. According to a press release, the free mixed reality (MR) strategy game “invites players to experience the magic of bringing a tactical tabletop game to life right before their eyes.”

The press release goes on to say that Holochess features fast-paced 3v3 squad battles, simultaneous combat and a battlefield that evolves with every move, Holochess challenges players to outthink, outmanoeuvre and outlast their opponents in bite-sized battles lasting approximately five minutes.

Unlike traditional turn-based tactical games, both players make their moves simultaneously, transforming each showdown into a battle of wits where anticipating your rival’s next move can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

Xreal Aura aims to transform players’ physical space into a 5×5 tactical grid where fully animated characters clash, terrain shifts and every move has consequences.
