One of the upcoming free PlayStation Plus games for September 2026 is yet another open world co-op game for fans to enjoy. Every month, a batch of free games are given away through the Essential tier of PlayStation Plus. Unlike the games added to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus, the titles on the Essential tier can theoretically be kept forever. As long as one stays subscribed to PS Plus, they retain access to any of the games they've claimed through the service.
The August 2026 PlayStation Plus games, which are still available to claim at the time of this writing, are Big Walk, Dying Light 2, and Signalis. Signalis is a single-player survival-horror game, but Big Walk and Dying Light 2 are both open world co-op experiences. Big Walk allows up to 12 players to explore its world together, solving puzzles and unlocking new areas, whereas Dying Light 2 allows up to four players to fight zombies in co-op.
PlayStation Plus subscribers should prepare themselves to say goodbye to seven games in September, including two Premium titles.
With Big Walk and Dying Light 2 , two open world co-op games were added to the Essential tier of PlayStation Plus in August, but yet another one is coming in September. Wobbly Life is one of the free PS Plus games for September 2026, and it will be available starting Tuesday, September 1. Wobbly Life is an open world sandbox physics-based game where players go around and do basically whatever they'd like.
