Pokémon Go 'Halloween 2026 Part 1' event guide

Pokémon Go’s "Halloween Part 1" event for 2026 has kicked off, running from Oct. 27 until Nov. 1. This event features the usual swath of costumed Pokémon, as well as a special "Trick or Treat!" mechanic that allows you to find goodies in boxes on the floor (similarly to how you find Applin's apples on the ground).

The "Trick or Treat!" boxes can have costumed Pokémon or candy inside, so make sure to tap them if you see them on the ground. This half of the event features the debut of Zubat and Sinistea in their own cute Halloween costumes. Big and greedy Pikachu gets yet another costume this year, too, but... it's really cute, so we'll let it slide.

Below, we list the other bonuses for Pokémon Go's "Halloween 2026 Part 1" event, including the Go Pass rewards and boosted spawns.

This event features a Go Pass with 50 ranks (plus 58 bonus ranks). Notably, you can earn costumed Pokémon and candy from the pass just by playing the game. As usual, there are also certain milestones you can hit that will give you bonuses for the rest of the event:

Notably, if you hit rank 108, you'll get an encounter with Spiritomb. This pass will continue through the "Halloween 2026 Part 2" event, too, so don't fret too much if you don't hit that rank before Nov. 1.

Earn points for the pass by doing the usual (catching Pokémon, winning raids, and hatching eggs).
