Nerona Imu is the main antagonist of One Piece and also the strongest character alive in the entire world right now. Imu made his proper appearance in the Elbaf arc, where he stands as the primary antagonist for Luffy to take down.
Nerona Imu holds access to the powers of the Akuma no Mi, which is a legendary Devil Fruit that grants him the ability to transform into the Demon God and utilize the powers of God's Domination as well as Omen. Imu also has the ability to assume multiple transformations thanks to his Devil Fruit power. Over the years, Eiichiro Oda has already displayed quite a few of these powerful forms to us.
The first and weakest state that Nerona Imu has is his normal human state. Nerona Imu was first shown in this state during the Reverie arc of One Piece, and then quite a few times after. The normal state that Imu holds usually presents itself as an all-black silhouette, wearing a massive crown and a triangular cape over him.
As to why Imu hides his presence inside the Holy Land of Marijoa, we do not know, but a lot of information pertaining to this will be given to us as the story continues. In either case, this is the weakest form that Nerona Imu has. While he is still capable of wielding powers such as Haki in this form, not utilizing his Devil Fruit certainly nerfs him tremendously in this form.
