In the world of One Piece, swordsmen are the most common and widespread fighters that can be found across the seas. Whether they are low-level grunts or some of the strongest pirates in existence, those who owe their strength and position to their prowess with a blade are commonplace.
As such, swordsmen often tend to be exceptional masters of Haki, since the use of a sword against other powerful figures facilitates the use of this power. It's quite rare for many swordsmen in One Piece to be wielders of Devil Fruits, but there are a few of these items that would give these warriors some serious bonus firepower.
One Piece officially announces return from a break with new content on November 1, 2026.
Although an unconventional pick for a sword user at first glance, the Gura Gura no Mi would be quite strong in the hands of a skilled swordsman. With the ability to create island-destroying tremors off of any surface, this legendary Paramecia Devil Fruit is often called the strongest in the entire One Piece franchise.
Naturally, this would be an amazing ability for anyone to have, but Whitebeard showcased many times that he was able to imbue his weapon, Murakumogiri, with this power. As such, by channeling the tremors through one's weapon, it can make it infinitely stronger and harder-hitting, which would be quite an asset for a swordsman since it would give them the strongest swings.
One of the most underrated Devil Fruits in all of One Piece belongs to the most underrated character of them all.
