New PS5 Game is Basically Pokemon and It's Coming Later This Year

LumenTale: Memories of Trey, the 2026 monster taming title from developer Beehive Studios, is officially coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year. After initially launching on Nintendo Switch and PC back in May, the developer has finally confirmed that LumenTale: Memories of Trey PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are on the way.

In LumenTale: Memories of Trey, players encounter and capture 140 different types of Animon in turn-based battles across the world of Talea. Players can train their Animon in the Anispace, where they can strengthen their bonds with the creatures and improve their effectiveness during combat. Each Animon has elemental affinities and one of five different emotional attributes that help in battles. The game has a stunning 2.5D art style, with sprite characters and Animon alongside 3D environments. For those who like Pokemon but just want something a little different, then LumenTale: Memories of Trey is perfect for that role.

A brand-new PS5 game has just been announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live, and it looks like a hybrid of God of War and Aladdin.

In a new announcement trailer, LumenTale: Memories of Trey was officially confirmed for a PS5 and Xbox Series X/S release later this year. No exact release date for the port of the monster taming title was given by developer Beehive Studios or publisher Team17, but it's good to know that it's on the way at some point in the near future. The trailer gave away very little about whether the port would include any additional updates, so it's safe to assume this is just a port of the existing PC and Nintendo Switch versions.
