Today was the big day. Rockstar Games pulled back the curtain and showed off nearly 30 minutes of gameplay of its upcoming release Grand Theft Auto 6, which is still set to launch on November 19 on Xbox and PS5. And buried in all that gameplay were some smaller details we spotted, including new wildlife never before seen in a GTA game and plenty of clues indicating that GTA 6 will play a lot like Red Dead Redemption 2.
So here are 16 small, cool, and interesting details we spotted in the new GTA 6 extended look.
We knew GTA 6 was going to play more like Red Dead Redemption 2 than its GTA predecessors based on previous leaks, but the Netflix Extended Look really hammered that point home. You’ll be able to interact with characters and animals, including dogs, via a small context-sensitive menu that appears in the lower right part of the screen. This is the same way RDR 2 handled interactions, and it seems mostly unchanged in GTA 6.
For people worried GTA 6 was going to limit how much fun you can get up to, here’s some good news: Yes, you can visit strip clubs. And it appears you can do so as a couple.
Another detail pulled from Red Dead: Weapons in GTA 6 will feature brands, model numbers, and more. We can see this when Jason grabs a shotgun from the floor that is named “Moreland 850 Shotgun.”
As Jason and Lucia fight their way out of the apartment at the start of the Extended Look, we can see that after killing someone, the reticle flashes red.
