New My Hero Academia Announcement Officially Confirms Its Revival

My Hero Academia is a beloved Manga by Kohei Horikoshi that met its unfortunate end in 2024. After a decade-long run in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, Horikoshi wrapped up the story in 2025, and a year later, the anime followed suit with the conclusion of My Hero Academia Season 8. While it may seem like My Hero Academia is dead as a franchise, it's clear the IP will not be put to rest anytime soon.

My Hero Academia is still a series with massive potential, and its popularity gives Shueisha a big incentive to keep going. On September 24, 2026, it was officially confirmed that My Hero Academia is making a comeback to Jump Festa 2027, and that it will reveal major announcements at the Super Stage. We are all excited about the possible future of our favorite superhero story, especially as this event is increasingly likely to lead to a full revival of My Hero Academia, with new and exciting projects on the way.

My Hero Academia first debuted in 2014 in the popular magazine by Shueisha, called Weekly Shonen Jump. Immediately upon its debut, the series garnered a lot of traction from fans all over the world. Its story revolving around superheroes and quirks in a high school setting, quickly caught on and led to it being picked up by a studio as good as Bones, which helped the series grow bigger with a stunning anime adaptation.

Sadly, My Hero Academia’s main story has already wrapped up.
