New LEGO Lord of the Rings Set With Over 8,000 Pieces Leaked

A brand-new LEGO Lord of the Rings set has just leaked, and it's another gigantic collector's piece. Rumored to depict the iconic location of Helm's Deep, this upcoming 2027 LEGO Lord of the Rings set will reportedly contain a little over 8,000 pieces.

The very first wave of LEGO Lord of the Rings sets launched in 2012 to coincide with the theatrical release of the first Hobbit movie. LEGO continued making sets inspired by both The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit until 2014, when the line was suddenly and mysteriously discontinued. After an almost decade-long hiatus, LEGO Lord of the Rings made a triumphant return in 2023 with the LEGO Icons Rivendell set, the first in a now long line of Lord of the Rings sets targeted at older audiences.

LEGO Harry Potter fans should definitely make sure that they keep an eye on Friday, October 16.

First discovered by Brickmerge and then posted to the r/Legoleak subreddit, a brand-new LEGO Lord of the Rings Helm's Deep set could be in the works right now. According to this leak, this will be the next entry in LEGO's Lord of the Rings Icons wave, following the Minas Tirith set released this June. This new Helm's Deep LEGO set is currently rumored to contain 8,060 pieces and is reportedly set to release in June 2027. There's no word on price just yet, but given the incredibly high piece-count and the license attached to the set, this new LEGO Helm's Deep will likely cost upwards of $600.
