New Borderlands Release Officially Brings Lilith Back as a Playable Character

A new Borderlands-themed release in Fortnite brings back the Siren Lilith, and fans can play as her. Borderlands players can look forward to September 3 to learn more about the next Vault Hunter for Borderlands 4, a hacker turned assassin using powerful cybernetics and a sentient virus she made as weapons. The new Vault Hunter, called Loveless, will continue the story of Borderlands 4 in a DLC titled FL4K and the Last Resort coming out on September 10.

While the DLC will allow fans to meet the beloved robot beastmaster FL4K from Borderlands 3 again, it will presumably not continue the story of Lilith and Borderlands 4 as a whole. It's unclear what Gearbox's plans are for the future, as Borderlands 4 was received with polarizing reviews by fans, sometimes either praising its gunplay and movement tech or criticizing some story threads and technical issues. The story of the Sirens has not been told in full just yet, and for those who are nostalgic about playing as Lilith, they can now do so in Fortnite.

A new leak reports that Bungie could be working on a Destiny-style Borderlands game inspired by Borderlands 1 with an open world.

Fortnite 's new collaboration with Borderlands includes a skin for Lilith using her appearance from Borderlands 4 , a Back Bling skin that looks like Lilith's fiery wings, and the return of past cosmetics like Psycho Bandit and Mad Moxxi skins. Though Lilith in Borderlands 4 doesn't have a prevalent role, the game's ending is seemingly all about her, with the mysterious voice in The Timekeeper's Vault presumably coming from a future version of her.
