Naruto Creator Kishimoto Is Bringing Back Konoha's Itachi Uchiha

Itachi Uchiha stood as one of the strongest and most influential characters in the overarching lore of the Naruto series. 12 years ago, when the original Naruto story ended with the release of Chapter 700 on November 10, 2014, Masashi Kishimoto made sure that Itachi's legacy remained intact through his brother, Sasuke Uchiha.

Now, after over a decade, Kishimoto is returning with a new Naruto manga, titled Naruto: Shadow Rising. This manga is set to shed a lot of light on the Uchiha Clan and on Itachi Uchiha as well, through his brother, Sasuke. For the first time in history, Sasuke is finally understanding why Itachi sacrificed his life for the village, and he embarks on a journey across the world to see things through his own and his brother's eyes. This blank period era is now officially being brought to life by Masashi Kishimoto in a new manga, and we will finally have Konoha's new Itachi Uchiha being built right in front of our eyes.

Itachi Uchiha's role in the Naruto series was solely to push Sasuke to new levels. When Sasuke Uchiha was first introduced in Naruto, he described his goal as being to kill a certain someone, and we knew that to be his brother, Itachi. However, when Itachi died and the truth about him was revealed, Sasuke's entire goal became to seek revenge on Konoha for what they did to his brother.

Eventually, Sasuke understood Itachi's true actions through meeting the four Hokage and decided to carry out a revolution so that the village that led to the death of his brother would no longer cause such an accident once again.
