Modern Warfare 4's DMZ mode can be ruthless, with challenging AI-controlled hostiles and aggressive player-controlled Operators hunting you down as you dare to complete ops and gather loot to exfil with. So you know what you're getting yourself into, we'll explain squad sizes, total player counts for the DMZ map, and how the solo queue works.
DMZ is extremely challenging with its blend of PvPvE combat. Here's what you need to know about dying and getting your gear back.
There can be up to 20 squads and 60 players active on the DMZ map. This isn't Warzone, so don't expect to encounter enemy teams at every turn. At DMZ Player Level 20, you will encounter more hostile teams; that's when the training wheels come off.
While you can queue as a solo player, you may still encounter teams of trios. While DMZ will try to prioritize other solo players, you might not always get lucky, and the lobby you enter may have teams ready to hunt you down and steal your loot.
Yes, you can play DMZ as a solo player simply by hitting Deploy and hitting the opt-out button for Squad Fill. This ensures you will queue for a game without joining random players to make a trio, which in turn prioritizes you as a solo player in Hajin, so (hopefully) you experience other solo players.
Other Operators are extremely hostile and won't hesitate to shoot you first, and the AI-controlled enemies are no joke.
