Building a Magic: The Gathering Commander deck is a fun, albeit long process thanks to the more than 33,000 cards legal in the format. This is where online deckbuilding tools become priceless, because some of the best tools will take your existing decklist and suggest changes based on what you're trying to achieve.
We've collated a list of six tools you should check out if you're preparing to build or adjust any of your Commander decks. Whether you're focusing on power level, price, or strategies, each of these tools will help you become a better deckbuilder, but don't ask them to help with missing your triggers.
Updated on November 2, 2026 by Niall Walsh: We revisited this list after a long time to refresh it and add a relatively new tool to the list in EDHTuner.
One of the newer tools on the market is EDHTuner, which takes your existing deck (you can import it from other deckbuilding tools) and gives you valuable insights on which cards to remove and which to add, based on the strategies it detects in the current build.
This AI-free tool also runs thousands of test games with each deck and each individual card replacement, so you can see how even small changes can affect a deck's performance.
If you're worried about brackets, you can also see which bracket your deck falls into, and it can suggest ways to increase your deck's power level if you want to be more competitive or decrease it if you're looking to be fairer during casual games.
