Move over Gamescom, Konami is heading to CatCon and its bringing Metal Gear Solid-themed cat toys with it

Have you ever looked at your cat and thought, 'I bet they'd love Metal Gear Solid'. Well, if you have, then not only does your cat have impeccable taste, but you can share in the hobby with these new MGS-themed cat toys. Just not at Gamescom.

No, unfortunately, for everyone wandering through the Koelnmesse right now, Konami is bringing its set of MGS cat gear to CatCon 2026 instead, the "world's largest cat-centric pop-up event—ok, I guess that makes more sense than Cologne. Fans will be able to pick up plushie pet toys, cat collars inspired by Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, and scratch boxes both online and at the booth from October 10-11.

But those who make it to the booth will also get the added benefit of meeting Uno the one-eared cat, who Konami aptly names a 'cat-fluencer'. I'm not the biggest fan of influencers, but I'll make an exception for Uno because she looks very polite. "Uno and Kat featured in a special playthrough video of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 where they revealed the specialty cardboard cat boxes."

I don't even have a cat and I want to get one of these—they actually look surprisingly good for videogame merch. So I guess the next logical step is to get a cat and then find one of those scratch boxes. But for now I guess I'll just add it to my cat-centric video game items, somewhere between the cat-themed PC case and the fluffy cat keyboard .
