Marvel’s Wolverine players are only just noticing some of the subtle (and not-so-subtle) foreshadowing that teases the story’s biggest plot twists.

Although not everyone was a fan, I’d say that one of the greatest strengths of Marvel’s Wolverine is its surprisingly dark, personal, and consequential story. Logan’s journey of self-discovery and reluctant heroism is mostly excellent and has more than its fair share of twists and turns for both newcomers and Marvel veterans.

Of course, anyone who knows the name Nathaniel Essex is inevitably going to be less surprised at how things play out, but there are still plenty of other moments that you likely won’t see coming. Insomniac clearly knew this and had some fun with it, as players are highlighting several examples of clever foreshadowing that only make sense on a replay.

I hopefully don't need to tell you this, but don't read on if you haven't finished Marvel's Wolverine yet.

Over on Twitter, Insomniac Games community director James Stevenson finally got a break from all the discourse by highlighting a thread about all of the foreshadowing in Marvel’s Wolverine. Twitter user cattybatty202 kicked things off by pointing out that the very first mission hints at Essex not actually being a mutant by letting him pass through a detector without setting it off.

The same user then showed that Walter’s defection is teased in the next mission , as you can find books that suggest he’s learning Japanese and have a conversation where he mentions The Hand.
