Logitech has just announced a whole range of gear, including the Logitech G Pro X3 Superstrike—essentially a buffed version of the X2 that launched just a few months ago. I've already expressed my thoughts about this in full elsewhere, but the long and short of it is that the X2 Superstrike launch now stings a little because it's been quickly rendered all but obsolete.

The flip side to this is that while the X3 Superstrike is great, it doesn't exactly fill me with excitement because I already got excited over the technology when it was actually new back in February. Which means that despite me thinking the X3 Superstrike is fantastic, I'm actually more excited about some of the other products Logitech is releasing: the keyboard and the mouse pad.

For anyone who knows me, the fact that I'd be keen on a mouse pad will be no surprise: I'm PC Gamer's resident connoisseur of all things rodent surfaces. And Logitech's new one, the G Pro X Control, is even more specifically my kind of jam because, as the name suggests, it's a control pad. I compared different control pads recently, as the slow but consistent movement across them is very beneficial for tactical shooters like Counter-Strike 2, my main game.

At the time of writing, I've only had my hands on the G Pro X Control for a couple of hours, and that's all been spent working rather than gaming, so I can't draw any conclusions yet.
