How To Get The Pokemon Run Pikachu Promo Card

Pokemon TCG scalping has been out of control for a while as The Pokemon Company and retailers continue to try and find ways to stop it and make sure cards end up in the hands of actual fans. Those methods include making fans run for the latest Pikachu promo card.

Don’t worry, this isn’t going to become a common practice where you need to run a half marathon to earn the right to buy your next elite trainer box, although I’m sure some of you would be happy to do that if it meant thwarting a scalper. No, this is a single promo card that’s attached to Pokemon Run.

Pokemon Run is an annual series of events where fans gather together to go on a run and play Pokemon Go together. However, this year’s anniversary Pokemon Run events have the added incentive of every fan who officially completes the run being given a Pikachu promo card.

The artwork on the card features Pikachu in a cap running along a track. It has the Pokemon Run logo stamped on it, and Pikachu can even perform a move called Let’s Run Together, which, when used, allows both players to draw a card.

To get the card, you need to participate in a Pokemon Run event. There will be a counter at the event where the cards are distributed. This year’s events started this past weekend, kicking off in the Philippines. More events will take place throughout Asia later this year and into early 2027.
