To start The Sword and the Way quest in Phantom Blade Zero, players must first reach the Myst Tavern in Pangzhen, which is the first objective of the Town of Death quest.
Next to Myst, you'll find an old man standing called "Daoist Bi Di." Talk to him and select the "Bronze Sword" dialog option to show him the sword. He'll ask you to find the Bronze Essence from the blacksmith shop, which is a Soul Tempering material for the sword. This will start The Sword and the Way quest.
The Bronze Sword is actually the "Tianxuan Bronze Sword" that you get after defeating Master Bi Yuan of the Tianxuan Sect in the Village of Lu.
The blacksmith shop is located near the Green Serpent House in Pangzhen. So, just normally progress past the Myst Tavern and follow the Pangzhen backstreets until you reach this bell.
