How to know which chest to open and earn the reward offered by the Treasure-Chest Shopkeeper

The Treasure Chest minigame in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake will test how lucky you are as you choose between two chests. As this game is all about luck, it's kind of a scam, but there's one surefire way to make it to the end and claim the prize: the Lenses of Truth. However, you're still free to try without them!

If you like to tempt fate, we can help you by explaining how to complete the Treasure Chest game in Zelda Ocarina of Time remake.

You can play the Treasure Chest game by visiting the Treasure-Chest Shop in Hyrule Castle Town. The shop is on the west side of the city, and it only opens at night, so use the Sun's Song, a bed, or just wait for a bit.

The Treasure Chest is a simple game: choose between two identical chests. If you open the one containing a key , you can proceed to the next room, where you will find two more chests. If you're lucky and find five keys in a row , you will earn a Piece of Heart . To play the game, you need to talk to the Treasure-Chest Shopkeeper and pay the 10-rupee entry fee . Once you complete the challenge, you can repeat it, but instead of earning a piece of heart, you will receive 20 rupees as the final reward.
