With the latest edition of the leading basketball franchise here, players will be eager to jump onto the court and learn how to alley-oop in NBA 2K27, including how to throw the lob to a teammate, how to finish as the dunker, and how to perform self-alley-oops. This is one of the most satisfying plays to pull off in the sport, and aside from showing off, alley-oops are arguably the best options in 2 vs 1 breaks.
2K Sports premieres a new two-minute NBA 2K27 trailer teases a wide variety of content, including a collaboration with Grand Theft Auto 6.
To throw the lob for an alley-oop, you'll ideally want to control a great passer, such as a Point Guard. You'll also need an open teammate to run toward the basket and finish the move.
If you're controlling the entire team, you will then need to receive and dunk the ball by pressing [X] at the right time when the indicator appears.
This last bit won't be necessary if you're playing MyCareer and only have control of the passer.
Without the ball and as a potential dunker, players can run toward the basket when open and use the following controls to call for an alley-oop.
You will then need to press the button that appears above the player's head.
On easier difficulties, there is no button to press to finish an alley-oop. Meanwhile, for online matches, the button may be different each time to keep players on their toes.
