Taking place after the first game, you assume the role of Jessie's brother, Dylan as he fights against the Hiss who have escaped The Oldest House.

If you are looking to solely play through Control Resonant's story and nothing else, it will take you around 25-30 hours to see the credits.

However, getting to the end will almost certainly take a few more hours, as you will need to complete side content to build up Dylan's power so he can actually survive in some of the endgame zones. While it's certainly possible to finish the game at around 25 hours, you'll most likely end up around 30-35 hours if you only want to play the campaign.

This is because the world increases in danger as you kill key bosses called Resonants , forcing you to improve Dylan's own power. It's absolutely possible to get to a point where the enemies are way too strong to deal with, and you'll need to return to a specific zone or mission later.
