Halo Special Edition Xbox Console Hallmark Keepsake Ornament Is Now Available

Every year, Hallmark releases hundreds of new Christmas ornaments, including some very cool ones based on video games and geek culture. This year, as an Amazon-exclusive release that just went live, you can get the Xbox Halo Special Edition Console Hallmark Keepsake Ornament (see it at Amazon). The ornament is a miniature version of the translucent green Halo-themed special edition Xbox console Microsoft released in 2004. It’s available now for $27.99.

The ornament looks just like a tiny version of the real thing. It has the chunky rectangular console, decked out in translucent green plastic and the words “Halo Special Edition” on the front right. It also has an adorable little cord leading to a similarly green original Xbox controller sitting on the console.

It’s also a “Magic Light and Sound” ornament, meaning it, well, lights up and makes sound. When you press the tiny Power button on the ornament, the light comes on and it plays the console startup sound and music from "Halo Theme Mjolnir Mix" from Halo 2.

Also included are the three Alkaline LR44 button batteries required to make it light up and play music. And the size in inches is 3.5 x 1.25 x 3.5, so it's a small thing (you know, the size of a standard Christmas ornament). I have the SNES Hallmark Keepsake Ornament, and I love it.

If you’re interested in an original Xbox Christmas ornament but you're not particularly keen on the Halo Special Edition, you can purchase a standard Xbox Hallmark Keepsake Ornament instead ( see it at Amazon ).
