Gundam Fans Need These Ridiculously Humongous Plushies

Carley spends her free time gaming with her husband, scoping out breweries and wineries, playing with her cat Momo, and writing self-indulgent fanfiction. She prefers lore-heavy RPGs and walking sims and has only played Dragon Age: Inquisition 14 times. Her favorite Final Fantasy game is all of them.

Bandai has revealed three massive Mobile Suit Gundam plushies, with preorders scheduled to open later this week. Over 45 years after the series initially aired, Mobile Suit Gundam remains one of the most influential anime ever made, and those wanting to display their love for the OG mecha phenomenon won't want to miss this chance. Fans of both protagonist Amuro Ray and villain Char Aznable are in luck, and those wanting to display the OG Gundam in their bedroom or office may want to snag one of these unique items before they're gone.

A special livestream was held in May to announce several new projects in the Gundam universe, leaving fans stunned at the mountain of fresh content scheduled to release throughout 2026 and beyond. The most incredible announcement for many was a remaster of the original 1979 anime series Mobile Suit Gundam, slated to be released in 2029 to coincide with the franchise's 50th anniversary. Developed by Sunrise, the series remains notable for being the first to depict massive mechs as mass-produced weapons of war, with a remake potentially serving to bring an entirely new generation of fans into the fold.

Amuro Ray is the gold standard of Gundam's pilots, but even he was bested in several categories by other fighters across the franchise.
