GTA 6′s Expectedly Massive File Size Has Been Revealed

We always knew that GTA 6 would be one hell of a massive download, and thanks to reports today, it sounds like we might know just how much space this thing is going to take up on our PlayStations and/or Xboxes. According to multiple reports, GTA 6 is a whopping 210 GB.

This originally came from PlayStation Game Size, a Twitter/X account that, true to its name, posts the file sizes of various PlayStation games.

It was then corroborated by Insider Gaming not long after, making it likely that this number is accurate.

That’s a big file, yup. It’s not the biggest. On console, it’s surpassed by multiple Call of Duties and ARK: Survival Evolved once you get all the DLC involved. As someone who will be playing on an original Xbox Series S, GTA 6 will take up nearly two-thirds of my usable storage space. I’ll probably have to delete just about everything that’s on there—probably just room for this and Elden Ring: Nightreign.

This is on consoles, mind. Who knows what that PC file is going to look like! You know, whenever that inevitably happens.

That number also doesn’t take into account anything else you might need to install with GTA 6 . Maybe there’s a day-one patch. And while nothing’s been announced, there will almost certainly be various content updates or even DLC added down the line. And it doesn’t include whatever the game’s version of GTA Online is going to be, whenever that finally shows up.
