TL;DR Several users were unable to change smart light colors using Google Home and Nest devices.

Google has now rolled out a fix which should have fixed the glitch.

Yesterday, we saw reports that Google Home was facing a weirdly specific issue preventing users from changing the colors of their smart lights via the Google Home app or connected Nest smart speakers and displays. Well, there’s finally some good news for all affected users.

The issue was first reported in a Reddit post by user baddebate. According to their report, they couldn’t change the colors of smart lights from multiple manufacturers using Google Home or Google Nest. The color selector in the Home app also failed, as did their routines.
