Galaxy Watch 8 series is nearly ready for the big One UI 9 Watch update

TL;DR Samsung is rolling out the fourth One UI 9 Watch beta for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic, featuring fixes for AOD, the Health app, and more.

The first-generation Galaxy Watch Ultra is getting its third One UI 9 Watch beta, with a near-identical changelog.

This particular beta rollout appears limited to South Korea for now, though it shouldn’t take long to appear in the US.

Samsung kicked off the One UI 9 Watch beta for the Galaxy Watch 8 series in late August . We’ve seen a couple more betas since then, and now we can report on another, with two of the company’s 2025 smartwatches picking up the fourth One UI 9 Watch beta update in South Korea.

In screenshots shared to X, leaker Kailash0729 reveals that the manufacturer has officially begun rolling out the update (ZZJ1) for the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Watch 8 Classic in the region. This 226.19MB update includes a couple of AOD-related bug fixes and patches an error in the Samsung Health app. It also improves home button shortcuts on both wearables, per the changelog.
