Forza Horizon 6's highly-anticipated release on PlayStation 5 has apparently been delayed to 2027, according to new information. Yes, this is not the first time we've heard that - The Verge's Tom Warren and IGN said as much in late August.
Forza Horizon 6 studio Playground Games countered those claims days later, however, saying the open-world driving game has not been pushed back, while opening wishlisting for it on the PlayStation Store.
Now, Dealabs' reliable leaker billbil-kun has added their voice to the noise, going further by revealing a specific, 26th January release date. They also speculated that an official announcement is coming this week alongside the opening of pre-orders.
"We've done our own investigation, and our research has paid off. Yes, we've managed to obtain the exact release date of Forza Horizon 6 on PS5," wrote French insider billbil-kun (via machine translation).
According to billbil-kun, the game is priced £59.99 in the UK and €69.99 in the rest of Europe. A physical version - with a disc - will also be available at retail. Incidentally, billbil-kun wasn't able to verify whether a Premium Edition is being offered on PS5.
On PC and Xbox, the Premium Edition includes an expansion pass, car pass and various other in-game bonuses. If purchased ahead of launch, the Premium Edition also grants up to four days of early access. It's possible Xbox is planning to release a digital-only Premium Edition on PS5, which wouldn't be visible to billbil-kun's typically retail-based sources.
