Footage From EA’s Iron Man Game Just Leaked, And Man, Flight Looks Fun

A few minutes of footage supposedly from a build of EA Motive’s upcoming Iron Man game leaked online today, and while it’s clearly still got some work left to do, dang, that flight looks fun.

The clip, shared on ResetEra, has not yet been verified (we’ve reached out to EA for comment). It’s just over two and a half minutes long, and begins with Iron Man taking off into the sky and zipping around a big city (Chicago, we think?) using his jet boots to propel him. There are a few clearly-unfinished cutscenes in there, and some combat showing Iron Man smashing enemies into the ground and chucking them as far as he can. We get some up-close looks at Tony Stark’s face, more combat featuring missiles and lasers and attacks while hovering in the air, and a final shot of Tony adjusting the suit in some way that looks player-customizable. There are quite a few characters popping up in here too that should be familiar to Iron Man fans, including Pepper Potts (of course) and James Rhodes (Rhodey).

Pieces of the footage are still using placeholder assets, and the video is watermarked as “AUG26 TEST.” So if this is real (and it does look quite convincing), it’s still a work-in-progress. But what’s there looks great, especially the flight, which appears to borrowing some ideas from the shuttered game Anthem, whose jet boot travel was also pretty sick.

EA Motive’s Iron Man was first revealed back in 2022 , and the studio has been quiet about its project since amid multiple rounds of EA layoffs and even project cancelations, such as the cancelation of a Black Panther game and the shuttering of its creator, Cliffhanger Games.
