Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave several major changes Nintendo and Intelligent System's long-running series of tactical RPGs. The ability to play through each one of the four heroes' stories in a single playthrough eliminates the FOMO of 2019's much-loved Three Houses. The writing is sharper, more affecting, and funnier than in previous entries. What's more, this time around there are dozens upon dozens of immaculately dressed oddballs for you to recruit on your adventures. And I'm loving all of those changes so far. But some of the improvements I've come to appreciate the most during my ongoing playthrough are smaller and far less glamorous.
