Dragon Age Petition Inspired By Save Mass Effect Hits 2,000 Signatures

Inspired by the #SaveMassEffect petition, which is soaring towards 300,000 signatures, Dragon Age fans have opened their own petition, mounting pressure on EA to keep both series alive.

"On October 21, 2026, the gaming industry lost one of its most influential development studios," organizer Firat Kalkan wrote. "After more than three decades, BioWare is closing its doors, and development of the next Mass Effect game has been canceled. For millions of gamers around the world, this marks the end of an era. BioWare wasn't just another game developer. It helped redefine storytelling in video games."

Kalkan calls on the community to #SaveDragonAge, imploring EA to explore selling or licensing the IP to an established game developer or publisher, grant former developers and talent "an opportunity to contribute to future projects," and provide transparency on the future of both series. "We are not asking Electronic Arts to give away valuable intellectual property for free," Kalkan continued. "We are asking Electronic Arts to consider giving these franchises a future rather than leaving them behind."

The petition, titled "Save Mass Effect and Dragon Age - EA, Let BioWare's Legacy Live On!" has so far amassed 2,244 signatures at the time of writing. To offer my own two sovereigns, however, lumping in Mass Effect only muddies the goal of the petition, considering it has its own page with hundreds of thousands of signatures already — it's probably worth just focusing on Dragon Age here.

Then again, if Reddit is anything to go by , Dragon Age doesn't have nearly as much momentum.
