Diablo 4 Update Finally Makes Highly Requested Change To Season 15 Issue

Diablo 4 reveals the full patch notes for the upcoming October 28 update, and it finally addresses a highly requested issue that fans have been very vocal about since the start of Season 15. Serving as a 30th anniversary celebration, there are a lot of callbacks and nostalgic elements to Diablo 4's current season, but there have also been a few unfortunate issues that have cropped up as well.

Building off of the excitement of BlizzCon 2026, where Blizzard not only revealed Diablo 5 to surprised fans, Season 15 has largely been well received by fans thanks to its focus on being a franchise celebration. Season of Hell's Legacy highlights Diablo's 30 years by not only bringing back the 3 Prime Evils and Deckard Cain, but uses a new activity called Waking NIghtmares to let players experience critical moments from previous games refreshed and recreated in the Diablo 4 engine. Not only that, iconic armor and weapons have also made their way back to Diablo 4, though fans have continued to highlight one major issue currently happening in Season 15.

Soul Splinters are risky to use, but they open the way for some interesting builds in Diablo 4 Season 15.

Ahead of the launch of a new update coming on October 28, Blizzard has revealed the full patch notes to give players an idea of what to expect. While the update is fairly small compared to past versions, the patch finally increases the stack size of a new Season 15 resource in Diablo 4 called Splinters of Evil.
