Demon Slayer has cemented itself as one of the most iconic anime series of all time. Its TV anime by itself is worth the hype, but what has propelled it to global fame are the massively successful theatrical movie releases. The movie success trend for shonen anime series first started with Mugen Train and continued with the more recent Infinity Castle release.
Because of the general success of Demon Slayer, it's naturally been in high demand on pretty much every streaming service. By now, almost every major streaming service offers Demon Slayer, which includes the TV anime as well as its movies. With that being said, Prime Video is very late to the party. While Prime Video has had the Infinity Castle movie available for streaming for a few months now, the rest of the series was unavailable. This has officially changed starting October 13, 2026, with a new surprise release being officially made.
Prime Video is one of the most popular streaming services in North America, and it is owned by the massive shopping and shipping company, Amazon. While the service usually focuses on movies and TV series produced by Amazon itself, they also offer many other types of shows for fans to enjoy. The Prime Video service first started as a DVD rental in 2006, but now, it also acts as a regular streaming service, similar to other giant counterparts like Netflix. With millions of users worldwide, especially in North America, it's always exciting to see new shows being added to the library.
