Dead by Daylight studio is hiring for a triple-A Sci-Fi first-person shooter with "a high realism bar"

Behaviour Interactive, the Canadian studio mostly known for asymmetrical multiplayer horror survival game Dead by Daylight, is hiring for a new project that sounds altogether different.

A job posting on Behaviour's website (via Insider Gaming) for a senior technical animator reveals the studio is hiring for an unannounced "triple-A Sci-Fi FPS" being built using Unreal Engine. The post describes the shooter as having "a high realism bar".

Behaviour's main game over the last decade has been Dead by Daylight, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary by setting a new Steam concurrent player record. The studio, however, has developed other projects for third-party publishers. Recent examples include Serious Sam: Shatterverse, Monopoly: Star Wars Heroes vs. Villains and the mobile game Worms Across Worlds.

In 2023, Behaviour self-published Meet Your Maker, a building game where the goal is to invade other players' created fortresses to steal loot. The game featured a wide array of traps and other tools creative players could use to devise the most evil contraptions.

Unfortunately, despite a promising start, the game just wasn't successful enough for Behaviour to maintain it long term. The studio announced in 2024, nearly one year after launch, that it's essentially shifting into maintenance mode as the game's team moved on to other projects.

Behaviour has one other upcoming project that we know about: the recently announced Exterminauts , a co-op PvE shooter where three players take on alien creatures using repurposed weapons and tools. Exterminauts is a third-person shooter, however, ruling it out.
