Cyberpunk 2077 Edgerunners 2 Update Leaked Ahead of Reveal

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2 premiered this week on Netflix. To celebrate a new season of the award-winning anime, CD Projekt Red cooked up another major update for Cyberpunk 2077, likely to entice players to return to Night City for one more playthrough. Though the update isn't live yet, its contents have been leaked ahead of release.

CD Projekt Red isn't one to let its games go gently into the night. The Witcher 3 launched over a decade ago, but it's still receiving support with the release of numerous patches, a remastered update, and new DLC content. Despite a rocky launch in late 2020, CD Projekt Red has poured its time and resources into Cyberpunk 2077, which has fixed the game, providing its value and steadily growing its fanbase.

The first season of Edgerunners told the story of David Martinez, but Season 2 takes off in a whole other direction and follows a completely different group of people. Edgerunners Season 2 premiered on Oct. 20. Not far behind is the release of a new update for Cyberpunk 2077, inspired by the anime. Cyberpunk 2077 2.5, also known as the Edgerunners 2 update, is coming to consoles and PC on Oct. 22 — two days after the release of the anime on Netflix, giving players enough time to binge-watch all 10 episodes of Edgerunners Season 2.

CD Projekt will unveil more about the update later today, but gamers can already find out more because, according to Push Square , a content creator published a now-private video detailing what's coming in Cyberpunk 2077 .
