Even though Control Resonant has only just launched today for most people, Remedy has already dropped a hotfix that aims to address how “tanky” enemies are.

Today, September 24, marks the long-awaited release of Control Resonant, the latest game in the Remedyverse and one that’s been getting some rave reviews. That being said, some of those reviews, as well as feedback from Digital Deluxe Edition owners, have made it clear that the game has a bit of a grind problem.

In the early hours of Control Resonant, when the player hasn’t levelled Dylan up much, enemies can feel far too spongy and take a while to defeat. Remedy clearly wants players to stick with the game beyond that, as it’s just confirmed a hotfix is coming that will make Dylan a lot stronger even if “the man just woke up from a coma”.

Over on Twitter, the official Control Resonant account announced that a hotfix for the game has just gone live on release day to address the complaints about combat that have been making the rounds. A blog on the game’s website reveals that the changes were made to stop enemy health pools from feeling too high and requiring too many hits to trigger an execution.

Control Resonant suffers some open world fumbles, but it's an incredibly fun and artistic game, and a must play for Remedy fans.

Remedy notes that some players have found that enemies are too “tanky” in the early hours of the game, and that it’s fixing this by reducing the base health and required Falter level of most enemies, as well as the Dancer and Deserter bosses.
