Call of Duty: MW4 Update is Officially Adding Wager Matches

Alongside the Season 1 update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on November 6, Infinity Ward is planning to add a limited-time Wager Match Event, which also includes exclusive unlocks and rewards. It's been a strong start for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, thanks in large part to positive word of mouth from players, especially those who were able to play the Campaign and DMZ during Early Access, as well as extremely strong reviews from critics.

While not perfect, most fans seem to be more than pleased with Modern Warfare 4 and the content it has on offer. Despite many still not thrilled by Modern Warfare 4's use of skill-based matchmaking and the higher-than-expected time-to-kill, it hasn't prevented the general consensus of the game from remaining very positive. Not only that, the Call of Duty franchise is one that continues to iterate and evolve over time, so fans can certainly expect to see updates and patches that tweak the core experience and likely address those two big issues. In the meantime, with Season 1 right around the corner, fans don't have to wait too much longer for new content.

As part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 's Season 1 reveal event , Infinity Ward also confirmed the arrival of Wager Matches. As part of the revealed roadmap of content, Season 1 adds a new Wager Match Event across multiple modes within Modern Warfare 4 , including DMZ, Warzone, and Gunfight.
