Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Nerfs Controversial Perk

In a recent update, Infinity Ward has nerfed one of the more controversial perks in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, calling into question how players were using it instead of how it was intended to be used. As longtime fans know, the launch is just the beginning for this franchise and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is no exception as Infinity Ward continues to make adjustments and other improvements to the game based on data and player feedback.

The launch window of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is still going strong, though the game is about to enter its next phase. Season 1 of Modern Warfare 4 is set to begin officially on November 6, bringing the first batch of post-launch content to the game. As expected, new weapons, maps, and operators will be joining the game, including a special Crash variant for the Kill Block game mode. Even DMZ is getting in on the new season by introducing a new location called XO1 which appears to contain valuable loot, though players will have to deal with tougher enemies. Prior to Season 1, Infinity Ward continues to make adjustments to the core experience, including a major nerf to the popular Possum perk.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 faces backlash from the South Korean public, with consumers demanding changes to the opening sequence.

The Possum perk in Modern Warfare 4 's DMZ mode has been a hot topic of debate in the community over how it's being used.
