The ORIS 8.6 quickly built a reputation for itself in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 as a shotgun instead of a marksman rifle. While this gun can definitely reach out and tag someone in the face from a respectable distance away, the ORIS became notorious as the go-to quickscope gun for close-quarters rush playstyles. In this guide, we'll be sharing with you two of our ORIS builds in Modern Warfare 4, each designed with different playstyles in mind.
Here's a full list of every weapon and their compatible Apex Attachments in CoD: Modern Warfare 4.
The ORIS is a faster-firing bolt-action rifle that sacrifices effective range for agile movement and quick ADS speed. Unlike the Mosin, the ORIS' one-shot-kill range for chest hits can only go as long as 24 meters with the right attachment, so you'll definitely need to get a little closer to your targets if you want to make the most out of this gun.
Below are two ORIS loadouts built for two different playstyles: the classic quickscope style, and a run-and-gun build for players who want to push their aiming and movement skills to the limit.
This setup pushes the ORIS' chest shot OHK range to 24 meters, giving you a bit more space to play with and making the gun feel a bit more consistent than usual. Just keep in mind that 24 meters is well within SMG and assault rifle playgrounds , so you need to be quick on the draw if you want to survive direct encounters with enemies.
