The MAR-9 is a semi-automatic marksman rifle designed for holding long lanes and preventing short-ranged rushers from flanking. It may seem like it's in an awkward position when compared to the other guns in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4's arsenal, but once you get a feel for how the MAR-9 shoots, you might develop a taste for single-shot weapons like this one.
Below are two MAR-9 loadouts for MW4, one for medium-long range skirmishing, and another for close-medium range fighting that makes use of the weapon's Apex Attachment.

If you look at the gun's stats, the MAR-9 is in a bit of a weird spot. It deals 55 damage to the upper chest and 100 to the head, but only up to 20 meters away by default, which is too short for a gun that's supposedly meant for medium-long range. Any further than that, and you'll need at least 3 bullets to the upper chest to secure a kill.
This opens up the MAR-9's options by quite a bit. You can build it specifically for that 20-meter range by increasing its ADS and movement speed, or you can build for aim/shooting stability for a more consistent experience in long-range firefights.
This loadout has a bit of modularity in it. If you prefer a medium-long range playstyle, use the Heavy Stock and Heavy Barrel for extra stability and recoil control.
